Day-Wise Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrive — to Shillong
Pickup from Guwahati and drive to Shillong. Evening at Police Bazar and the cafes of Laitumkhrah.

Day 2 — Shillong to Cherrapunji
Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls, then on to Cherrapunji — Nohkalikai Falls and the Mawsmai limestone caves.

Day 3 — Double-Decker Root Bridge Trek
The famous trek down ~3,500 steps to Nongriat's double-decker living root bridge and its natural pools. (Easier alternative available.)
- D4
Day 4 — Dawki & Mawlynnong
Boat on the unbelievably clear Umngot river at Dawki, visit Mawlynnong — Asia's cleanest village — and return to Shillong.

Day 5 — Departure
Drive back to Guwahati. Optional stop at Umiam Lake viewpoint; onward journey home.
